Our state is abandoning its children. I am a math teacher at Marana High School and Pima Community College. I am a grandfather. I will fight to ensure that Arizona's children are educated and healthy, so that they can create healthy families of their own.

Our state government is heavily influenced by those who would sell off Arizona's beauty and its resources for personal profit. Our economy is driven by the boom/bust mentality of growth, with the boom benefiting the Haves and the bust being paid for by the Have Nots. It is time to begin the withdrawal from our addiction to growth, and begin the transition to a healthy, sustainable economy. I am determined that our grandchildren have the water, air, open space and livelihoods to raise their families in Arizona. My wife Donna and I were co-founders of Milagro Cohousing, a community in the Tucson Mountains built on sustainable principles.
